Over the past three years, I’ve been writing songs with Castle East, a school in Bungay. The school is a specialist provision for pupils with social communication and interaction needs and autism from Year 5 to Year 11.

I go into the school as part of ProCorda’s music week, where they put together an entire musical with the school in just a week! My job is to help the students to write their own song. ProCorda is a music charity based at Leiston Abbey in Suffolk.

Over around a week, I write with individual classes to create a school song. At the end of the week, we record it all together in the school hall. I am always blown away by their talent writing and singing their own song.
